Abstract:

The software allows calculation and visualization of the two-phase (gas-liquid) flow regime to be performed with the use of modified Baker map for fully developed horizontal and/or vertical flow. It determines the regime and displays its coordinates in the two-dimensional Baker map. The results can be exported as data files or saved as images. The inputs are: physical properties of both fluids, channel geometry, and operational conditions. Input data can be fed into the software either manually or imported from a data file (it also accepts output data from a calculation programme for tow-phase discharge flow according to HFM or SFM found at www.nozzle.ic.cz). Using the mentioned programme enables prediction of two-phase flow regime inside a mixing chamber of two-media nozzles of internal mixing or in a pipe prior to a regulation valve, a throttling valve, and a safety valve, exit openings etc. The software is an autonomous web application available at www.tpf-map.ic.cz.
